Welcome to the cheats for Gradius 5 for the PlayStation 2. Below are the cheats.
Instant double shot power-up
Pause the game after passing the first Boss and press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, L2, R2. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Note: This may only be up to 25 times, equal to the number of levels that have been successfully completed.
Instant laser shot power-up
Pause the game after passing the first Boss and press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left, Right, L1, R1. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a sound. Note: This may only be done up to 25 times, equal to the number of levels that have been successfully completed.
Bonus credit
Every hour of accumulated game play will add one bonus credit to your total.
Free play
Accumulate 18 hours of game play to unlock free play mode (unlimited credits).
Weapon edit mode
Successfully complete the game. Press R1 in the weapon selection screen to turn on weapon edit mode. Press L1 to return to the normal weapon selection.
